Datele
What is Datele?
Datele is a game where players attempt to guess a specific historical date within a certain timeframe. The game provides clues and feedback to help players narrow down their guesses. These clues include changes in tile colors to indicate how close a guess is to the actual date.
Rules of the Game
Guessing the Date: Players begin by making their first guess for the historical date. They input the date using a combination of digits and special characters. For dates before the year 1000 CE, players use the space key to fill gaps (e.g., " 476"), and for BCE dates, they use the minus key (e.g., " -31").
Clues and Feedback: After each guess, the game provides visual feedback by changing the color of the tiles. The color changes indicate how close the guess was to the actual date. The closer the guess, the warmer the color; conversely, the further away, the cooler the color.
Limited Attempts: Players typically have six attempts to guess the correct date. The challenge lies in using these attempts strategically to gather as much information as possible from the feedback.

Tips for Success
Pay Attention to Tile Colors: The changing colors of the tiles are crucial indicators of how close your guess is to the correct date. Use this feedback to guide your subsequent guesses.
Narrow Down Timeframes: As you make more guesses and receive feedback, you can narrow down the possible timeframes for the historical event. This will help you make more accurate guesses in later rounds.
Use Contextual Clues: If you're familiar with historical events related to the date you're guessing, use that knowledge to your advantage. Contextual clues can help you make more educated guesses.
