What is Hollywood Stardle?

Hollywood Stardle is a daily problem in which you must determine the last name of a movie, television, or music star in six tries. The rules differ from Wordle in that your guess does not have to be a name or even a word, which helps to reduce the number of letters used.

Aside from the game's difficulty, there's also the excitement of determining who will be the day's star. The name is chosen at random from our database, so even Bob and I, the game's developers, have no idea who it will be, allowing us to play as well. Amanda Redman, Bradley Cooper, Joan Collins, Malcolm Barrett, Robert Vaughn, Elvis Presley, Kim Fields, Ryan Gosling, and Ian McShane were among the first 40 celebrities we chose from the previous 80 years, striving to include people for every interest.

Game Rules

Fill in the blanks with any letter combination, one letter per star. To submit, press the enter button. If you're seeking hints, your guess doesn't have to be a name or even a word.

The color of the stars will change after each guess to illustrate how close your guess was to today's Hollywood Stardle.

  • The green letter is present in the word and in the correct location.
  • The yellow letter is present in the word but in the incorrect location.
  • The gray letter appears nowhere in the term.
