What is Only Up?

Only Up! The folk tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" served as inspiration. You will follow in Jack's footsteps to achieve more than merely reaching the summit.

The user can slow time and modify the character's speed in order to pick up as much as possible in one massive jump or hop. There are also hundreds of Easter eggs and references in the game. You play Jack, a little girl from the slum who aspires to get out of poverty and embark on a trip to learn about the world and herself.

The world has gone insane, but maybe this is your chance to explore it. It can be difficult to find the proper path but don't worry, you can always start anew; we learn from our mistakes, mine included.

Game Rules

In Only Up, one of the important factors is the ability to slow down time and change the character's speed. Try to collect as many of these abilities as possible before making the jumps associated with them. This will give you better timing and control in passing dangerous turns.

Not only that but Only Up also offers many Easter eggs and other items for you to collect and use. Use them wisely to help you overcome difficult situations and become a strong player.

Patience is essential: Patience is a key component of Only Up! There's no need to rush; instead, take your time researching and planning each jump. Instead of hurrying and having to restart from the beginning, confidence and patience in each jump can help you go further.

Use automated skills: Once you've become used to the game and aren't missing any platforms, keep moving forward. Your character will automatically hold and pull up ledges, assisting you in avoiding incorrect jumps and saving time.

Be cautious with round items: In the game, be cautious while dealing with round objects and surfaces. Physics isn't perfect, and it sometimes struggles with spherical things. You may slip off these objects even if you jump correctly. So be cautious and select stable surfaces for the most vital jumps.
