NYT Digits
What is NYT Digits?
The New York Times created and published the math-based game Digits. Each day, five problems are issued, and in each puzzle, players are given six numbers to add, subtract, multiply, or divide in order to reach the target number. Once a number has been used, it cannot be used again in another procedure.
Game Rules
The regulations are straightforward, as they are in the NYT version. You are given 5 riddles to complete each day. Every problem contains a target number and six different starting numbers that must be used in mathematical calculations to attempt to create the target number. Each of the six numbers can only be used once, however, the result of a particular math calculation generates a new number.
When you've finished one puzzle, use the top tabs to move on to the next.
Scoring
- Each puzzle is worth up to three stars:
- If you hit the target, you gain three stars.
- 2 stars if your score is within 10 points of the aim.
- 1 star if your total is within 25 points of the target.
