Squaredle
What is Squaredle?
Squaredle is a word-formation game in which players must swipe and link letters on a grid to construct correct words. The word must contain at least four letters. The game's purpose is to find the final word.
Game Rules
The game is shown on a 4x4 grid. When you first start the game, you will see a grid of four random letters. And you must connect letters to form a legitimate word. New random letters will appear when you find a valid word. If you come across a valid term that isn't in the solution, it'll be deemed a bonus word. While the extra word will not increase your score, it can break ties on the leaderboard. The grids will fill up with letters as the game progresses. And your goal is to get the last word.
The goal is to make all of the tiles green by dragging a tile horizontally or vertically and swapping it with another (do not drag and exchange tiles diagonally).
When all of the tiles in a column or row are green, the letters create a word from Webster's online dictionary.
To earn the most points, try to match the target number of swaps. There is a separate aim for simple and difficult games, and typically a change target every day - easier games are at the start of the week, with the Squaredle 'week' beginning on a Sunday.
- A green tile in the first grid contains a letter that is in the correct position.
- An amber tile indicates that the letter could be switched with a non-green tile in the same vertical column or horizontal row.
- A yellow tile indicates that the letter may fill one of the non-green spots in the same vertical column and horizontal row.
- A white tile indicates that the letter cannot occupy a non-green area in the same vertical column or horizontal row.
