What is Tradle?

OEC (Observatory of Economic Complexity) is a data visualization platform based on maritime transportation bills of lading. Tradle is hosted on the OEC domain. Simoes, the CTO and co-founder of Datawheel, the team of designers and engineers behind OEC, is Tradle's developer. Simoes also has other data visualization activities. Tradle integrates trade statistics and entertainment to make data more meaningful.

Gameplay

The treemap assists the players in determining the names of the countries. And, like Wordle, your guess provides a hint. If you guess the wrong country in Tradle, the game will tell you how far and in which direction you are from the correct answer. Players get six guesses to choose the correct country, exactly like in Wordle and the many other games that use it.

The game is both entertaining and educational. You will learn about the exports of each country. So, if you haven't already, you should go play it right now.
