Rules of the Game

• Objective: The main goal of Hertl NHL is to correctly identify the mystery NHL player within eight guesses.

• Guessing Process:

  • Input: You can guess any current NHL player’s name.
  • Number of Guesses: You have eight chances each day to identify the mystery player.
  • Feedback System: After each guess, the game provides feedback through color-coded cells to help you refine your guesses.

• Feedback System:

  • Green Column: Indicates that the guessed player’s attribute (e.g., division, conference, position) matches the mystery player’s attribute.
  • Yellow Column: Shows that the guessed player’s attribute is correct but not in the correct category. For example:
    • Division Column: Indicates if the guessed player is in the correct division, but not which conference.
    • Position, Age, and Nation Columns: Shows if the correct number is within 2 units of the mystery player’s stats (e.g., position, age, or nation).
  • Incorrect Guesses: If a cell does not turn green or yellow, it means that the guessed attribute does not match the mystery player’s attribute.

• Daily Challenge: Each day features a new mystery player, so you have a fresh challenge to solve daily.

• Game Modes:

  • Random Mode: Play with randomly selected mystery players.
  • Today's Challenge Mode: Test your skills against a daily mystery player.
